PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team. Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency.
Works closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success.
Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.

 

TASKS AND EXPECTATIONS
Responsible for design and implementation of SAP HANA In-memory database kernel
– for example:
–    Design and implementation of concurrency control and transaction processing for large-scale parallel distributed in-memory database
–    Design and implementation of high-performance OLTP data store
–    Design and implementation of database replication and HA offerings in Cloud landscape
–    Design and implementation of workload analysis
–    Design and implementation of client-server communication protocols
–    Optimization using NVM or RDMA

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION
–    Undergraduate/graduate students or experienced programmer in the area of computer architecture, operating systems, file systems, database, compiler, programming language, parallel processing, machine learning or networking
–    Business English: fluent
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

–    Expertise in C++/C programming
–    Interest and talent on solving “real” problems with new ideas and logical reasoning
–    Strong responsibility and professionalism; Integrity and teamwork
